PASS Foundation – Peace for Sustainable Societies represented by the Program Officer; Ms. Shahenaz Bamosa, has participated in a joint 3-day workshop in Amman as part of the Science Communication for Gender Equality and Social Cohesion Project, co-implemented by The Gender-Development Research & Studies Center (GDRSC) and CARPO – Center for Applied Research in Partnership with the Orient in Bonn, Germany, and funded by the German Academic Exchange Service.
Bringing together German and Yemeni students with a civil society background, representatives of civil society organizations from Germany and Yemen, as well as Yemeni artists, aims to jointly assess and discuss challenges to social cohesion in Yemen and to develop ideas for promoting social cohesion through artistic expression.
The objectives of this project are initiating and/or intensifying the networks and cooperation between higher education institutions and non-university partners, including German and Yemeni researchers and students, civil society stakeholders and artists in the fields of science communication, gender equality and social cohesion in Yemen, furthermore, developing innovative (knowledge) products promoting gender equality and social cohesion, and developing strategies for knowledge transfer between higher education institutions and non-university partners.
