A voluntary, non-profit organization established on January 15th, 2020, under license No. (427), accredited by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor – Republic of Yemen. Founded by a group of youth activists, both men and women, in Aden Governorate, the foundation emerged from a strong desire to strengthen social cohesion, promote stability, entrench justice, and spread the principles of citizenship and participation.
Contributing to strengthening the foundations and pillars of peace at the local and national levels.
Enhancing community reconciliation efforts that support transitional justice mechanisms.
Working to empower society in all its components as an effective partner in various fields, to advance development and stability efforts.
Developing cooperation and coordination mechanisms with civil society, government, and private institutions to achieve sustainable development goals locally and nationally.
Stable and sustainable local communities
Before the founding of "PASS Foundation - Peace for Sustainable Communities" on January 15, 2020. Our journey began as a group of young community activists in Aden, and influential figures in Feminism, Youth, Human Rights, and Civil Aspect in Yemen. We, the founding members of PASS Foundation, were young feminist leaders in the Freedom Square of the 2011 Revolution. We then founded the Aden Youth Movement, which aimed to make members of society aware of democracy, various forms of State, federalism, human rights and equal citizenship, and thus intensified our efforts and established a youth initiative we called "Let’s coexist initiative" and we continued to volunteer until we founded a civil society foundation "Alf Ba Civil and Coexistence Foundation", where we worked with a youth team for 10 years, a great experience was gained in civil and human rights work field. Then, as an expert youth team, we all have founded a new modern institution that seeks to achieve inclusive sustainable development, it is called "PASS Foundation – Peace for Sustainable Societies" and we’re complementing our journey towards peace for sustainable societies in our new era.
